It’s already more than half-way through the magnificence that is Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. If you are following the many tweets, live feeds from the shows, Vines, Instagram pics, Tumblr, Facebook photos, Google+ albums, and more you can practically live-breathe-be in the moment. The people. The atmosphere. THE FASHION. It’s a fabulous and amazing time had by all.

I have attended many a Fashion Week before and I give so many kudos to my fellow PR and marketing professionals that work tirelessly at producing amazing shows. Mercedes Benz sent me an invite (with a +1) to attend events and I wanted to highlight the Mercedes Benz Star Lounge and the Jill Stuart Show. The entire VIP experience was top-notch and I am gracious for the experience.

The Mercedes Benz Star Lounge, designed by designed by Wesley Cadle, is a posh place to relax between shows. Show hopping can be exhaustive so being able to charge your phone, put your feet up, and have a nosh/drink is heavenly.

The lounge caters to celebrities, designers, and Mercedes Benz owners and is was truly an oasis that teleported us to the French countryside. This wasn’t your ordinary French country and shabby chic. Think opulence, plush, and elegance.

Amazing details and the color scheme was tranquil, inviting, and the atmosphere was remarkable.

The Jill Stuart show was amazing. Mercedes Benz arranged that we have concierge service and that we didn’t have to wait in line but wait in the lounge and be sat shortly before the show started so we were able to eat, drink, and decompress before taking it all in. We had fantastic seats and the crowd was electric. Jill Stuart’s fashions are always amazing–edgy yet definitely wearable for those wanting to spice it up with a rock and roll. The trends on her runway were lace, leather, and lots of cut-out accents with midriffs bearing. Very hot! Celeb spotting: Nigel Barker who was taking photos with his iPhone and being amicable to everyone he encountered afterwards.

All in all, it was a low-key day at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Yes, the spirit is electric and the energy is magnified by the excitement of it. I am delighted I was able to take my younger sister to the event (her first Fashion Week) and see it through her eyes. I also enjoyed the awesome exhibitors at the tents including Samsung (who had a sketch artist that created a masterpiece for my sister and I) and Reel Code Media.

For the rest of the week, I am simply taking it all the commentary, videos, and images and plan on making it back for more of next season’s shows.
